Meet Ben

Ben Lim

Ben comes alongside leaders and handles the groundwork: planning, projects, governance, finances and follow-through, so they can focus on the work only they can do.

He has served as an executive director, an interim general manager and a trusted administrator, leading local projects across several provinces and keeping the records, finances and systems of organizations, churches and community groups in order.

He has worked with various organizations, businesses and non-profits in Indigenous and non-Indigenous contexts.

Why I do this

Leaders should be free to lead

Behind every vision is a lot of groundwork: records to keep, policies to write, contractors to call and decisions to follow up. When all of it sits on the leader, the vision waits and good projects fall by the wayside.

I take on that load. I think of my role as an armour bearer: the person who carries the weight, clears the path and stays close, so the leader is free to lead.

The part of the work I enjoy most is seeing a leader reach a goal they have carried for years.
